If you ever have a pleasure to meet Fast Eddie, you will realize that he is one of the most kindest, caring people who will grace your life. If he had $5 in his pocket and you were down and out, he'd keep a dollar for himself and give $4 to you. It's just who he is. He doesn't ask for anything. Just that you are true to him as a person. But another thing you will notice about Eddie is that he's in a wheelchair and has been for his entire life, due to childhood illness. And the wheelchair constricts him from getting to places outside of where the bus of trolley drop him off or where friends can take him to. Our friend Andy and our other friend Monica have really done a lot to help Eddie get around, but as he said time and time again, he misses driving.
So, our friend Kristina had this great idea about getting Eddie a wheelchair assesible van for him to drive. This started the gears rolling and has lead to Rods For a Cause. As you see, Eddie a ride or die kind of guy when it comes to hot rods, being the VP of the Krown Rockers Car Club here in San Diego. So, of course we need to incorporate hotrods into the mix. How could we not? So, Kristina with a lot of help from Andy, secured a venue, car clubs to come out and support, motorcycles, and put me in charge of vendors. We've also managed to get quite a bit of donations for the raffle. So, if you are in the San Diego area, come out on Sunday, March 3rd to Hooters in Mission Valley and celebrate Fast Eddie with us. See you there!
Until next time, lovelies!
Miss Hell
